Hollywood is facing a new problem because of the advanced AI video generator Seedance 2.0, developed by ByteDance (the parent company of TikTok). It can create fully cinematic videos using artificial intelligence.

Seedance 2.0 is a next-generation AI video generator model. It uses text prompts to produce scenarios that resemble movies. It smoothly combines music, visuals, and video and adds realistic camera motion.

The film industry, including the Motion Picture Association, warns that Seedance 2.0 could copy actors’ performances and artistic styles without permission. The actors’ union SAG-AFTRA has also raised concerns about how this software may replace real performers.

Beyond actors, the impact could affect many film workers – camera operators, lighting technicians, editors, and VFX artists. The biggest worry is that AI could rapidly reduce human creativity
