Tech Alert: Huawei’s Super Thin Flagship Tablet Is Now on Sale in Europe

If you thought Apple’s iPad Pro M4 had the thin market all to itself, Huawei just joined the party. The company has launched its lightest flagship tablet, the MatePad Pro Max, in European markets.

This 13-inch tablet is amazingly thin at 4.7 mm. Weighs just 499 grams, making it super easy to carry in a backpack. It’s officially the device in its class.

What Makes It So Special?

Huawei didn’t just make it thin; they also packed in some great hardware:

A Display: You get a big 13.2-inch flexible OLED display with a sharp 3K resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The bezels are almost gone thanks to a 94% screen-to-body ratio. The anti-glare nano-etching feels just like paper under a stylus.

Built to Last: Super thin means fragile, but Huawei made it strong with an internal beam. They say it’s 60% more resistant to bending than models, and it even got the industry’s first official bending resistance certification.

Lasting Battery: Somehow Huawei fit in a 10,400 mAh battery that supports fast 66W charging. It even supports 40W reverse charging to charge your phone

The Big Question

The tablet runs HarmonyOS 4.3, which offers a desktop-like experience and a super-optimized office suite. However, it doesn’t have Google Mobile Services. If you use Gmail, Google Drive, and the Play Store all the time, you’ll have to use web apps or find workarounds through Huawei’s AppGallery.

Pricing and Launch Offers

The MatePad Pro Max is a premium product. The price shows it:

  •  €1,099 for the Space Gray version.
  •  €1,299 for the Blue edition, which comes with the HUAWEI Glide Keyboard and a hidden stylus charging slot.

Early Bird Perks: If you buy from Huawei’s store this month, you get a lot of freebies, including FreeBuds Pro 4, the M-Pencil Pro stylus and a €100 discount voucher.

If you want a piece of hardware and don’t mind leaving the Google ecosystem, this might be the sleekest laptop replacement on the market right now.
