The 33 Immortals is a thirty-three-player game where you play dungeon battles with other players. Thunder Lotus Games built the game with a focus on multiplayer cooperative battles. It is based on Dante’s Divine Comedy, where you are rebelling against God’s final ruling. While right now, you can play it as pre-launch, with the full issue for Immortals expected in 2026.  

Developers 

Thunder Lotus started working on the game after the release of their game Spiritfarer. The studio has a previous track record of releasing good titles like Jötun. Lotus Studio hails from Montreal, Canada, and another game they have is named Sundered. 

Storyline 

The Story is inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy, where you have all the familiar characters and places in the game. Hence, Virgo and Beatrice will guide you through all of your quests. Also, the arenas are named Inferno, Paradiso, and Purgatorio. 

Gameplay

As Damned souls you are forced to fight spawns of hell. The 33 players are often split into teams of six or seven players, clearing chamber after chamber. With each chamber completed, you will be fighting through the ascension phase, which has more difficult bosses. 

• Combat: The Combat is fairly rogue-like for immortals. You enter a dungeon, clear the monsters there, and move to the next area till you encounter a boss. Upon defeating the boss, you will encounter other enemies till you get Lucifer, the ultimate boss.

• Weapons: The game primarily has four weapons.
• Sword: The sword belongs to justice in the game, where it is a melee weapon. It gives you justice when it scores a hit. With its skill of guard, which creates a shield around you. 
• Staff:  It gives you the power to create Sloth power when striking the enemy. The power will slow down the enemy a lot. 
• Bow: The Bow will give you a buff called Hope, this hope will increase the number of arrows in your quiver, starting from 2. 
• Daggers: The daggers give you greed, which is used to stun the ability. The weapon has a short range but can deal devastating damage with the Greed. 
• Progression: The Progression in 33 immortals is linear; you complete the chambers and get different resources, which in turn improve the stats of you and your weapon. Upgrade yourself, as you will be fighting against stronger enemies as you move ahead. 

Strategies, Tips, and Tricks:

Remember the game is coop, so don’t be a hero and go by yourself. Stick with your group and try to clear as many chambers as you can before your ascension battles. In case you are not able to clear the chambers, upgrade your gear and try again. Try clearing out more dangerous enemies first.
