Sniper Elite: Resistance

Introduction

The current installment, by the name Sniper Elite Resistance, was launched by Rebellion Developments. And, its story starts in france which is under the Nazi occupation. You are going to play a British agent named Harry Hawker, who is aided by the French resistance to take out a deadly chemical weapon by the Wehrmacht. 

This game continues its older iconic X-ray kill cams with non-exclusive missions, which retain its familiarity with the Sniper Elite series.  

Developer

The development was handled by Rebellion Development, which is famous for its Zombie Army franchise. They started in 1992 in Oxford, England, where the Sniper Elite series and Zombie Army were created. 

All of the previous installments of Sniper Elite had the same theme of the resistance against authoritarian governments and the protagonist being a sniper hero. 

Gameplay

Gameplay gives you the freedom to explore at your will. Also, you are supposed to act and think like an actual sniper. Where you are using stealth and making accurate shots. 

You can customise your fits, weapon, which vastly improves your range and accuracy. And you get Vehicles that are available only from three categories: German, French army, and civilian vehicles.

• X-ray footage: The bread and butter of the Sniper Elite series. In which, the footage of replay after every kill gives an eerie detail of your kills in X-ray fashion. Where you can see every bone broken and organs exploding in the game.

Along with the regular story mode, Rebellion has introduced a new propaganda mode where you take the role of a French rebel to complete several missions. And it has a Multiplayer mode that includes free-for-all, co-operative campaign, team match, no cross, and squad matches.

There is not much difference in Sniper Elite: Resistance from the series. Hence, you get the same mechanics as the previous five installments in the Sniper Elite franchise. 

Most reviews are positive for the game, where Eurogamer gave it 8 out of 10. Also, Gamers are praising the optimization of the game and it’s similar gameplay with some added tweaks.

The price of Sniper Elite: Resistance is about $59.99, and the deluxe costs a little more than $89, where you get more missions and skins. 

Final verdict

The Sniper Elite Resistance gives the sniper adventure of the series with the same essence in playstyle. The story plot and settings are changed, while the playstyle feels somewhat stale. You can creatively complete the missions, and you should play if you are new or a big fan of the Sniper Elite series.
